The Agency’s Deputy Director General, Mr. Ashenafi Tola, delivered a training session for newly recruited employees under the theme “Mindset Change; a Modern City.”
In his presentation, Mr. Ashenafi provided an overview of the major development projects being implemented in Addis Ababa, including corridor and riverside development projects, institutional capacity building, and renovation and construction works in the health sector.
He also gave explanations on the Agency’s reform agendas, noting that the institution is undertaking reforms and improvements in organizational structure, legal framework and procedures, technology and its utilization, the working environment and service delivery, as well as human resource capacity building.
Finally, he outlined the expectations from newly recruited employees. In particular, he emphasized the importance of becoming professionals who embrace digital transformation; promoting transparency and integrity to improve process transparency; ensuring service quality; enhancing competence to strengthen cadastral systems and information security capacity; and fostering accountability to stand for results and ensure sustainable improvement.
The training is being conducted at the Ethiopian Public Service University on various topics and includes group discussions and field visits.
